The Compass Programme – Promoting a man’s resilience and well-being following exposure to domestic violence and abuse.

Did you know that nearly 700,00k men were known to have been victims of domestic abuse last year?

Calan DVS support men that are affected by domestic abuse across Neath Port Talbot, Powys and Bridgend. Our ‘Compass Programme’ is designed to meet the needs of men that are the victims in an abusive relationship and can offer a journey of support to recovery.

The ‘Compass Programme’ provides a unique opportunity for male victims to meet and talk in a safe space about their experiences. The programme will help increase self-efficacy and improve mental well-being as well as provide opportunity to understand more about what they have been through.

To date over 95% of male victims attending the programme report that they now better understand the experience they have been through and feel more confident about their own well-being and the potential for a healthy relationship in the future.
