Domestic Abuse Work Based Policy

This is a half day course that is available to anyone who employs staff and wishes to learn more about why it is important to have a work based policy. It is also available to staff to enable their understanding of why they have a work based policy.

Many organisations feel that domestic abuse is not an issue for them… Really? Think again! If you employ 4 people or more then it is likely that someone you employ is affected. Latest statistics suggest 1 in 4 women and 1 in 6 men are the victim of domestic abuse over their adult life. This it seems may be the tip of the iceberg. It is not just the victims you need to consider within the work place but the perpetrators too. You may have both the perpetrator and victim working for you. According to economic government statistics the annual cost to business in England and Wales is estimated at £1.9 billion.
